Holiday Inn & Suites Beckley by IHG

One of the best I’ve ever been too! Very nice friendly helpful people. I thought Cedar Springs Michigan had a great breakfast until I got here. Amazing buffet and a pleasant lady named Bri helped us all morning!! If you’re near here and need a place…. Make it here. You won’t be sorry.

We will absolutely be booking our stays with this hotel in the future! Ruth Adams, the general manager, as well as the rest of the staff were amazing and made the stay worth returning! Ruth went above and beyond and you can tell it’s in her nature to care for guests as if they’re her own family! The hotel is extremely clean and close by to a lot of activities, gas stations, and restaurants but if you are a “stay in” type they offer food/beverages from their attached restaurant. 10/10 impressed!

Positive: Proximity to restaurants Negative: Someone's room smoke alarm went off at 4 AM requiring a full evacuation of the hotel instead of the front desk being on top of it to just address the room violation. Also advertising a large Jacuzzi in the pool area that has been permanently shut down

I stayed here on March 6, 2026, due to have truck issues and having to be towed to Beckley for a shop to do repairs. Come the next day, I found out that my truck would not be ready until possibly Tuesday or Wednesday. Knowing I couldn’t stay that long and no help really around to get back to Kentucky. I ran into Amber who is employed at the Holiday Inn and I believe still fairly new. Amber was absolutely amazing in helping me to find some sort of transportation. She took the time out of day to call around to places and just simply went above and beyond to make sure I was not stranded. Unfortunately I ended up with a U-Haul box truck to drive back but, without Amber I might not have gotten that far. This is a bit delayed to say the least. My fiancé and I took a road trip from Canada to visit her place of birth in NC, stopping in Beckley back in May. We typically book through 3rd party apps to plan our trip and have never had a major issue with our stays over the years. Needless to say, that streak stopped when we checked into our initial booking in Beckley. I won’t say the name but it certainly may or may not rhyme with Gravel Dodge. Yeah…we didn’t do our due diligence. Needless to say we had a horrendous experience and found ourselves in a foreign country at 11pm after 12 hours of driving without an accommodation.
