Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Beckley, WV

We stopped in later in the evening because of bad weather that hit on the roads. We saw a semi blown over because of the wind ,decided it was time to get a hotel and finish the driving during safer conditions. We booked through a third-party I believe Expedia (I jump from Expedia to Priceline). Anyhow, we get into the room, settled in and find out the toilet does not work. I went and talked to the clerk at the front desk, who is absolutely amazing. Her name is Charity. She was so kind to my dog and even gave him a treat. She reassured me. It was GMO free and gluten-free made with all good ingredients. I thought that was pretty cool how thoughtful she was about that.. anyhow the room we had was the last room available to have a dog in. The front desk staff & management at this location are so customer oriented. I booked a reservation through a 3rd party app, that unfortunately I had to cancel, Expedia didn't communicate with CIAS, but the front desk staff worked with me to resolve the issue and honored the refund policy/terms. Every winter, we stay here several weekends when we ski in Ghent and it's location and amenities are top notch for families looking for a great place to stay when in Beckley. Book your room here, the service, amenities, and staff are amazing!

I’ll share my experience here since it has been almost a month and management won’t acknowledge our issue. Maybe after my review they will. My husband and I booked a room through booking.com for Dec 19. Due to circumstances, we didn’t arrive until 12:30ish AM. Anyway, very tired we stumbled into the hotel and gave our name to the young man. He checked us in and we went upstairs to room 362. Upon entering I notice that the “do not disturb “ sign is still on the door….hmm. Then we walk in, the floor is vinyl, so you can see lots of dust and garbage that should have been swept. The room was comfortable and just what I expected. The hotel has a very nice pool. It has a good breakfast but the coffee makers were down so we didn't get coffee today. Check in was very easy as was check out. The employees were all friendly and attentive. I will certainly stay here again.

Very disappointed with our stay this time. We have been staying here once or twice a year for at least 5yrs. 99% sure we will NOT be back. There has been a steady decline in maintenance and cleanliness these last few years. The pool area is disgusting. Items like bandaids and comb and balls of human hair sunk in pool. Slime on the pool walls. Maintenance doors horribly rusted. Housekeeping had left a large bin of food filled trash bags in the hallway all afternoon 1/1/26 and then overnight. Room wasn't stocked with enough linens for our group and we had to go to housekeeping multiple times. There were flies and gnats in our room when we arrived. An odd smell we couldn't decipher or get rid of. The bathroom floor had loose tiles that were tripping hazard. The curtains had bugs prev
