Holiday Inn Lynchburg

Worse than ever. I come here annually to attend the opera. Stayed elsewhere previous 2 years but since it’s across the street from the venue, thought I’d give it another shot figuring it could only have improved. MISTAKE. Hair in shower. Sink doesn’t drain. No fan in bathroom. Had to go 2 floors down to find an ice machine that worked. No usb plugs. Shabby furniture. |Never again.

How anyone can give this hotel anything but a one star is beyond me. This hotel needs condemned. Rusted amenities in the rooms, peeling and cracked paint in the bathtub. Carpet stains. Outdated furniture. Not to mention it took AN HOUR to check in. Evidently they have a new computer system and couldn’t figure it out. Then I went down later to get some help and the front desk employee told me it would be 10 minutes before she could help me because she was in the middle of training someone. Really?? Run! This is the worst hotel in Lynchburg and should not be open for business until they can get updated and train their staff properly.

The staff was super friendly but the building is very outdated, a renovation is necessary for this beautiful building. Everything in the room from the popcorn ceiling to the bathroom, Everything needs a update. The area was nice and quiet which makes for a peaceful night sleep.

Sink and Tub would not drain properly. Could not shower because they held water. Used wash cloth in bathroom as well as pretzel pieces from previous tenants. AC is loud, but cold!

What an unfortunate stay at this hotel. Our family was staying in Lynchburg to attend a wedding. We called a few times before we went down asking if we could check in 30 minutes earlier than the 3:00 pm check in so we could get ready for the 4:00pm wedding. We were told no. Our room was finally ready at… 5:15!!! This wasn’t the case just for us, many,many people were sitting around the lobby waiting for a room, or walked over to the hotel where the wedding was to get ready in their bathroom. |The hotel was old and dated- damp and smelly.
