Holiday Inn Express & Suites Springfield by IHG

I work in the Springfield area and decided to stay at Holiday Inn Express on Dirksen Parkway. |I would say the hotel is average for the price and amenities. Front desk staff Anthony was very pleasant and helpful. |The room was clean. The bed was queen size and they use mattress covers which is a bonus. I am extremely picky and double check everything because of another hotel experience locally. |There is a small refrigerator and microwave in the room for heating food and keeping your drinks cold. Refrigerator coffee maker for coffee and tea. |Helpful tip - stay toward the front of the hotel. There is a lot of noise from the highway which is close. |My only issue with my room was the bathtub took forever to drain. It filled up while I was showering and was really slow to drain. ||Breakf

Great 2 night stay at this pet friendly Holiday Inn Express! Room was very clean and spacious. Air conditioner was quiet and effective. No odors (pet, mold, marijuana, etc.) and no heavily fragranced air freshener trying to hide anything. Bathroom was also very clean. The beds were firmer than I prefer, but I had a travel sized memory foam topper and slept well. Even though the hotel is right next to the highway and we were at the back of the building, we heard no road noise in the room. Breakfast had a good selection: scrambled eggs, omlettes, sausage, biscuits and gravy, cinnamon rolls, and pancakes along with oatmeal and the usual cold cereal. Front desk staff were all pleasant. I had a very pleasant stay at the Holiday Inn Express. The establishment is exceptionally clean, the rooms are comfortable, and the bedding was fresh—making it easy to relax. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and I especially appreciated the wonderful variety of food options at breakfast, including fresh fruit. I believe pricing to be a good value for my stay.

Excellent place to stay!! We arrived super late on a Saturday night and were helped quickly. The man working had just ok customer service but was sufficient at checking us in. The parking lot was huge and looked great for oversized vehicles and trailers! Our room was clean and temperature perfect. The bathroom was super clean and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel was quiet. Complimentary breakfast was fantastic!! There was an employee constantly making sure everything was full and tidy. They offered eggs(scrambled & omelette), sausage, bacon, potatoes, biscuits/gravy, oatmeal, big cinnamon rolls, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, toast, pastries, juices & coffee. The hotel is easily accessible from the highway and felt very safe. I would 100% stay here again if back in the area. The price

I didn't have a reservation but I checked in to a suite that cost over $300 a night. What a dump! Room was dirty, spent three days 😭 n the same suite and never saw a maid service. Safe didn't work. Shower floor super slippery. Had them bring a shower mat. I will never stay here again and may never stay at an IHG hotel again either. You'd think that for $300 you'd get some service but no!
