Holiday Inn Express & Suites Santa Clara by IHG

I stayed at this property for more than two weeks, and here is my detailed review. During check-in, the full amount was deducted from my credit card. Pros: The location of the property is good. As an Indian traveler, I was specifically looking for a hotel close to Indian eateries, and this location worked well for that. The staff were polite and respectful in their interactions. Rooms are cleaned daily. The front desk also asks whether you want your room cleaned each day. I’m not sure if this is standard everywhere, but it was a pleasant surprise for me. Cons: Toiletry kits are not provided daily - you have to request them from the front desk daily. Shaving kits are also not provided automatically and must be requested from the front desk daily. Drinking water is not provided daily

Friendly service. Plenty of covered/shaded parking. There was an unfortunate smell that seemed to come from the bathroom and did not go away even with leaving the door and window open. Maybe they need to clean their pipes or ventilation system. Breakfast was pretty standard, kids would be happy with it. I liked the fitness room and its close enough to walk to a few places and a short drive to Paypal stadium. Road noise was also a bit of an issue and I could hear anyone walking in the hallway.

Ours was a quick, overnight stay but it hit all the marks. Hotel was pretty empty, so I was a little nervous about the breakfast offerings, I was pleasantly surprised. There were many choices, lots of healthy choices and the lady working it was very friendly and kept it clean and stocked. Room was clean, quiet and the bed was comfortable. It was just two of us and worked well, however, if you have a larger family, I would opt for an additional room. I would stay here again.

We stayed at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Santa Clara from June 18 to June 19 and had a very pleasant experience. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, which was exactly what we needed after a day of travel. The staff member who assisted during check in was incredibly warm and accommodating. She provided clear instructions and answered all our questions making us feel genuinely welcomed. Another highlight was the complimentary breakfast. It had a good variety of options, from hot items to lighter fare, and everything was fresh and well-stocked. It was a great way to start the day. We highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for comfort and excellent service. Kudos to Ms. Mary and all her staff!

I chose this location over the North First street one. And I'm glad I did! Good, central location to various locations in the valley and to the freeways. Quiet. Good restaurants along El Camino to chose from. And the staff were excellent.
