Holiday Inn Express & Suites Redding, an IHG Hotel

Positive: Location. It was minutes from town with lots of options for dinner and shopping. Negative: Breakfast was slim. Hot tub wasn’t hot. Toilet seat wasn’t attached well. Carpet in room was dirty. Missing extra bed linens and towel. Had to go to front desk multiple times.

The staff was pleasant and friendly, and the place seemed clean. Our ground floor room (on the even-numbered side) had a window facing out to a parking lot It wasn't as noisy as I expected, although there was constant highway noise. ||I was disappointed by the included breakfast - by the time we arrived at 7:00 am, they were already out of most things, the omelets looked burnt, and the pancake machine wasn't working.||#disability #accessibility |For some reason, they have EV chargers in front of handicap parking spots, which sets up a conflict between disabled guests and EV drivers. While we were there, a Tesla driver parked in the handicap zone to charge his vehicle, blocking my access to my car - in the rain.||I always appreciate a room with a safe, but putting it down at floor level,

Just had a stay here! The hotel was okay but what really stood out were the staff. Erin worked the breakfast service, was so friendly and helpful. she made the start of each day a pleasure! And Jill at the front desk was equally wonderful. She was always ready with a smile and went above and beyond to answer my questions and make sure I had everything I needed. Seriously, these two are rockstars and deserve all the praise! Thanks you to them.

Good location, checked in late got lucky they only had 2 rooms left. We stayed in room 222 unfortunately our room had a strong oder, it kept waking me up in the night. Im thinking it was water damage so most likely mold somewhere. There were cobwebs with a bunch of knats in them and the lamp definitely had some dead bugs on the bottom. The desk chair had a big stain and the little sofa had some stains. The beds and bathroom were clean. Service was great just had to stop and sleep after a 9 hour drive before headed home.

This hotel has suffered quite a bit of damage in the major storms that came through last week. Our reserved room had puddles on the carpet when we checked in. Carly (sp?) very quickly switched our reservation to a new room to make sure we would have beds to sleep in for our brief stay. Her customer service was exceptional, even at a time when she was handling multiple problems for guests during a 12 hour shift. She better get overtime and a raise! This hotel has some obvious issues with maintenance and repair that have been compounding and were impacted by these recent storms, but at least they have managed to find competent and kind people to run the show. Management, repair your property!
