Holiday Inn Express & Suites Lexington by IHG

Kudos to the staff at this hotel. Our room was very quiet, clean and comfortable with plenty of electronic ports for our electronic devices, The parking lot was being repaved but the workers paving it were quick to help us enter and exit the lot without damage to our vehicle from the tar. The only issue with the room was the Keurig machine which didn't work. However, the breakfast was a delight. And special Kudos to Tapp, the kitchen manager. The usual breakfast of ceral, pastries, toast and yogurt was available, but there was also an excellent hot breakfast bar. It had freshly made potatos, real scrambled eggs, grits, turkey sausage and pork sausage. Fresh croissants and cinnamon rolls were also available so I took one to go. We had a great experience at this location! Everything was so clean and beautiful. It even smelled wonderful from the elevators to the hallways to the rooms. The beds were comfy. The indoor pool area and fitness room were well maintained. Breakfast was good! I can’t say enough about the front desk staff when I checked in, though!! Angel and Etta went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed for our stay (which was a celebration for my daughter’s 14th birthday)! It was just what she had in mind for a hotel slumber party!

Thank you to Veronica at both check-in and check-out. Veronica was very professional and pleasant to talk to. She answered our questions regarding places to eat and gave us information about all the restaurants in the area. As it turned out we opted for the Mediterranean Cafe right next door. It was very good. She also checked on a few walking trails we had questions about and gave suggestions - Lake Murray is beautiful! She is an asset to your Holiday Inn Express family. Our room was clean and comfortable, especially the choice of bed pillows - soft vs firm which is not always available at other Holiday Inn Express locations. We arrived Friday March 6th checked out Saturday March 7th. The check in was excellent the lady was very nice we arrived around 11pm. The room was very nice and clean. It turned bad Saturday morning at breakfast the lady doing the breakfast was not friendly she became upset with me because I had to ask the check in lady could she get her because she was no where to be found despite the apple juice was flashing refill, the eggs was empty, and the sausage was almost gone. When she came out I observed her talking to the check in lady fussing because it was still apple juice but how would I know that im going off what the machine says. Update: The manager has completely ignored my emails since my Thanksgiving visit, which I had to cut short due to extremely unsanitary conditions in all 3 rooms I viewed. I was instructed by corporate to contact him to receive 2,000 points I was promised but never received (1,000 points in October 2025 for a drop the coin game they played at the receptions (not making this up), and another 1,000 points for my inconvenience, when I had to check out on Thanksgiving Day 2025).
