Holiday Inn Express & Suites Lee's Summit - Kansas City by IHG

Showed up to Holiday Inn Express on 2/13/26, was not impressed with this facility. When we got to the room none of the lights worked. The room was still dirty. Towels were placed on the microwave. Couldn’t open blinds either. Poop was closed as well. Maybe it was just bad timing but probably going to choose a different hotel next time.

I recommend staying here if your are out town going to a Kansas City Chiefs game. I've stayed here twice. This is a nice location. Has a large pool and a good fitness center. The hot breakfast is delicious. The rooms are clean. Autumn at the front desk is accommodating and helpful.

Great location in Lee’s Summit, MO. Those three words say it all - clean, comfortable, relaxing hotel. The suite and bathroom were all clean upon arrival. Everything worked as expected and was not broken or run down (e.g. furniture, frig, coffee maker, lights, electrical outlets, shower). Bed was new and very, very comfortable. All the towels, soaps and lotions were fully stocked. Beautiful view out window of undeveloped land where a herd of deer roamed, played and ate together. Very relaxing! The elevator could have been a little faster. Other than at check in, we had no interaction with hotel staff but check in experience was fast and the clerk was hospitable and kind.

Great sleep! Nice beds and pillows. Breakfast had many options and was good. Rooms are clean and the hotel is cheery. Staff were very nice and helpful.||The only problem I had was the toilet seat in our bathroom. Neither the lid nor the seat would stay up--they would just close automatically. I had to help my daughter by holding up the lid while she sat. By the end of our stay something had come loose and the whole seat was detaching from the toilet. |I kept meaning to call maintenance but we were busy and I kept forgetting until we were back at night and didn't want to mess with it.

We stay at this hotel when we visit family in Raytown. This Holiday Inn is much, much nicer than the one closer to Raytown, and It's not too much further away from our family, and it doesn't cost much more to stay here. This hotel's staff has always been friendly and helpful, and the continental breakfast's not too bad. There are decent restaurants around, including Jack Stack BBQ and some other chains including Texas Roadhouse. The only problem we really ever encounter here is that their showers can get very, very slippery, and they don't really seem to be remedying it.
