Comfort Inn & Suites Lees Summit - Kansas City

Front desk employee at check in was very nice. Room wasn't terrible. My issue isn't the usual for a hotel stay. Our shower water was too hot. As soon as the faucet was barely on the water was super hot. I called the front desk about the issue. He called back & told me it showed on the tank we had cold water. I let him know only in the sink but not the shower. The shower was scalding hot . I asked him to come into the room to check for himself. He told matenaince wasn't available & offered no options. I then went down to the front desk & he was gone for the night. He didnt bother to tell the lady who came in at the shift change of the issue. Cecelia was nice & offered us another room but unfortunately it wouldn't work since it was a king with a sofa sleeper. She also said we could shower

Definitely not one of my more enjoyable stays.||Let's be fair. The overall "stay" was OK. I needed a place to sleep for a night, and this hotel served that purpose. The hotel was picked by someone in our group. (She needs to find and use Tripadvisor!) And, it's not like I booked a room expecting a stay at a 5-star resort. But I did expect a little better.||Check in went fine. That was actually the high point.||The room... oh dear... well, it appeared mostly clean and it didn't smell bad. I can say that about it. And, the bed was comfortable enough. The HVAC had an "always on" setting, which is a huge thing for me. Kudos there. And it pretty much kept the room the temp I wanted.||But from there? Here we go...||The comforter on the bed had a stain on it. Did it mean it wasn't clean? Probabl

Room was NOT clean, was given bedding to change it ourself. Completely disgusting. Cobwebs throughout the room. Bathroom doesn’t seem to have been cleaned well, and the room smells like cigarettes. Here are just some of the photos I took. More have been submitted to corporate.

Great location, friendly staff, everything was nice and clean Toom was spacious. The bed was very comfy. The breakfast was borderline , but adequate The waffles were great. Nice and quiet, yet close to highways, gas., restaurants major highways.

There was only one person working the desk and she was clearly overwhelmed by a difficult customer. Our room was not clean. The bed skirts had what looked like vomit on them. We asked to have them removed or changed but housekeeping had left for the day. There was food detritus on the floor and the sink had hair in it. The outlets in the bathroom didn’t work. The shower curtain would not close due to the shower rod not being securely attached to the wall. The room was hot and the ac could not keep up. There were no rooms we could have moved to and overall it was a unpleasant experience.
