Holiday Inn Express & Suites Fredericksburg by IHG

Room was clean, the front desk staff were friendly. I liked that they include a list of restaurants on the welcome letter to check out. I would have rated higher if the parking situation wasn't a nightmare (there was such a parking space issue people were parked under the main entrance vestibule when we left) and there was no explanation upon checking in that overflow is shared with the adjacent hotel until we asked the staff and even then there are minimal spaces to be shared by both of these hotels at capacity. The other issue were the card keys - and there were other guests having the same problem. Us and other guests couldn't get into the side entrance using our keys, and you had to swipe the key 10 times before you could get it to unlock your room door (when we arrived another family

Highly recommended!!! My brother lost his wallet in the room after we checked out, they called us and we were very far, We were very far from the hotel, and she offered to mail it to us. The wallet arrived within a week because we live in Maine. I really appreciate this attention to the customer and the safekeeping of their belongings.

Positive: The bed was comfortable. Breakfast had good options. Negative: Homeless people living outside. Room was dirty. Stains on the carpet. Painting missing and scrapes on all the walls. There was a large hole in the ceiling. There was a cockroach climbing the wall. Worst Holiday Inn I have stayed at.

Checking in was quick and friendly customer service. Great location little tricky getting in the parking lot I drove by. The room was very clean. Shower took a little bit to get hot but not long but definitely could be a little more Shower pressure. The continental breakfast was really nice fresh pancakes, cereal, bananas, apples, oatmeal with brown sugar and fresh walnuts, chocolate milk, orange juice, warm cinnamon buns, biscuits and gravy, sausages, small omelets, small veggie omelets. No home fries or bacon. There looks to be some renovations. Definitely recommended Holiday Inn.

Travelling all day and stopped early evening, tired and looking for rest. ||Upon walking in the room, toilet seat was up as if used. Two partially used toilet paper rolls are hung on the wall, one was folded as would be expected upon entering a room the first time, one was not, again indicating someone had used the room after it had been cleaned. ||Blood spot on the wall next to the nightstand. Stains on fabric chair. Smelled of air freshener that wore off as time went by leaving stagnant air smell. Heard every footstep of the person above me, along with the cars driving by and people walking outside the room. Bright light shines under the door, had to place a couple pillows at door to make the room dark. At least the a/c and fan worked so I could drown out the noise and move the stagnant
