Holiday Inn Express & Suites Dallas Market Ctr - Love Field by IHG

My first experience booking directly through IHG will also be my last. I reserved a King Suite on the 25th for a stay on the 28th and even paid for the upgrade through the app. Upon arrival, I was told that my upgraded room had been given to another guest because the hotel had oversold. I received no communication about this beforehand and was simply told I would be charged the original room rate instead. At checkout, the front desk clerk casually told me to call a manager to resolve the issue—completely unprofessional. No apology, no compensation, no extra points—nothing. I remained calm and polite, but it seems that only someone making a scene would have been taken seriously. Even worse, the room’s TVs were outdated and displayed the UHD error. I came to this Hotel to rest and enjoy my family away from Home and found Administrative Personnel yelling and arguing with their Staff Members in the middle of the Breakfast Time. I booked a couple of days and initially the Hotel was great, the front desk staff was very pleasant upon arrival, our room was clean and very well decorated and breakfast was delicious until our 2nd morning. Everything was going great until the General Manager Sheila Daniels decided it was prudent to hold a staff meeting in the middle of breakfast serving on a Sunday Morning and things got heated and escalated between herself and the rest of the employees. The front desk manager is awesome. He started the beginning of an excellent experience. Breakfast was so good. My room was spacious and clean. In the shower, the pressure was on point. Parking and entry felt safe. The spring time weather made eating breakfast at the patio area memorable. The staff was so friendly and helpful. I will be back on my next weekend getaway.

Paris provided outstanding customer service. My daughter lost her wallet, which contained her hotel key, at a venue in Dallas, and was extremely patient and helpful in explaining what was needed for her to safely get back into the room. She remained professional and kind during a stressful situation, which we truly appreciated. In addition, all of the other employees were quick to greet me with a smile every time I entered, and the rooms were very clean. The location was also great—close to downtown Dallas without being right in the middle of heavy traffic. Overall, a great stay. Thank you, Paris, and the entire staff!
