Holiday Inn Express Lexington Horse Park Area by IHG

This was our first time staying at the Glo brand from Best Western and if I understand correctly there are a limited amount of them in the U.S. The room was quiet and comfortable and clean for the most part. The only issue we found was that the clock radio had brown stains all over the speaker area which didn't look attractive in the room. I am unsure what hotel this was before but there were signs that it was an older hotel that had been updated. There is a thermostat on the wall in the rooms but the temperature is actually controlled by the unit under the window. |The hotel was easily accessible from the interstate with plenty of dining options in the immediate area. Positive: the room and hotel was really nice and clean Negative: I do not like that they charged me a $250 incidental hold on my card because I live in town, so I will NEVER STAY there again!!!! and you all should have made that aware to me. I couldn't cancel the reservation at all

Very nice hotel that looks upscale but has affordable rates. Room was spacious and clean with contemporary decor. Black out drapes were a plus. The bed was a little firmer than what we prefer, and the pillows are the fluffiest I've ever seen. Bed, linens and towels were clean. The safe was not working upon check-in, but someone came up immediately when we notified the desk, to fix it. Great water pressure and drainage. Microwave, mini 'fridge, coffee pot, iron and safe provided in room. Tile floors. No creepy crawlers of any kind wandering about...with multiple legs or even just 2. Close to I-64 interchange. Plenty of free parking and tractor trailers can park along the roadside by the hotel. Shopping and restaurants close by with attractions a short drive away. We didn't partake of break
