Holiday Inn Express Fairfax - Arlington Boulevard, an IHG Hotel

The staff here are the nicest people who are quiet but very accommodating - from the front desk to the breakfast persons to housekeeping! Breakfast was simple but yummy. They had the usual assortment of fruit, eggs, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, cereal, hard boiled eggs, yogurt and hot cinnamon rolls. We stayed in a king size bed that faced Fairfax Ave and the street noise could be heard at night but the blackout curtains were great at preventing sun light from coming in. The bed is very firm and the pillows are very soft. The sink is separated from the toilet and shower area but has a nice amount of counter space. The room and hotel is a bit dated but the rooms were good sized. It was a convenient location for us as we have family that lives nearby.

From the moment we arrived to the morning we left, Betty and her Team were amazing. They were all so polite and couldn't do enough to make sure we were enjoying our stay. The rooms are spacious and beds really comfy. The bathrooms are slightly strange with the wash hand basin in the bedroom as not enough room for it in the en-suite but you get used to it! We didn't ask for our room to be serviced but it was and left immaculately. Breakfast is varied and plentiful and one of the better offers I have come across in the US. Overall, this hotel is well managed and all the Team do their best to make their Guests happy and I would high recommend.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The General Manager Betty and her staff were absolutely amazing, friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with anything I needed. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable. Breakfast was served hot every morning, and the coffee station available 24/7 was an amazing . This is the first Holiday Inn I know that keeps their market fully stocked, so for those late-night moments I didn’t have to worry about finding food. The location is also perfect, close to GMU and just a short distance from the metro station, making it super convenient for getting around. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. Great service, clean rooms, and a welcoming atmosphere. Thank you to Betty and her incredible team for making my stay so enjoyable

Positive: Nothing Negative: Inconsistent hot water, loud area, uncomfortable beds and pillows, staff being a little annoying, broken ac, and it’s like there was a mic on the road with a speaker in the room because the street noise was so loud, and the elevator definitely needs fixed

Stayed here in December of 2025. Rob is by far there top employee. He made sure that everything was top notch and if we had any issues. He made sure they were fixed to the best of his ability. He told us about all of the places that gave discounts to people that stay at holiday inn. Super good dude. The first room we were given smelled like someone had been smoking cigerettes. We told Rob and he moved us to a different floor. I believe the people that were either in one of the rooms close to that one smoke alot and it just carried in with them. Breakfast was good. Nothing special. Rob did tells us that they sometimes do an omelette bar. Unfortunately, we did not get to experience this. To the issue we had. The beds were not that good. We didn't get much sleep.
