Alina is truly an angel. I come to this location often, and Alina is always there to help me. Every single time, she is kind, professional, patient, and genuinely welcoming. She remembers people, pays attention to details, and consistently goes above and beyond to make sure everything is handled smoothly. Her presence alone makes a difference—you feel taken care of the moment you interact with her. In all my visits here, Alina has been a constant source of excellent service and positive energy. Fairfax Marriott is very fortunate to have her. She represents the best of what hospitality should be. Thank you, Alina—you are truly a blessing.

I stayed at this hotel for a couple of days, and while it’s clear that the property is a bit worn out, the staff more than made up for it. Everyone was warm, friendly, and super professional. A huge thank you to Alina at the front desk, who managed my check-in perfectly, even though I had a lot of questions and requests. She was patient, attentive, and made me feel welcome right away. Special shout-out to Dmytro, his coffee is the best I've ever tried. Rosa from housekeeping was also amazing in handling my requests. I’d happily return to this hotel next time.

Positive: The staff are professional and supportive. Negative: Despite paying the higher-end charge, this hotel's overall condition was used and abused. Everywhere you look was serious wear and tear, both in the main/public areas as well as in the room. Just about everything needs an overhaul/upgrade.

Tv didn’t work Heat was very week stayed 67 deg for three days..water pressure was weak out of shower due to faulty plunger in faucet. Maint man said he would let manager know as well as snatch a new tv box from another room. Didn’t happen nor was I contacted by manager throughout my stay… I roughed it out, and nicely mentioned these things to the manager upon check out. She BLAMED IT ON ME for not moving rooms and made me feel horrible. Gym is cool but Ellipticals are broken and clunky. Theres so many other options around this area, don’t stay here unless you have to.. or it’s dirt cheap as it should be. A Hampton in would have been better to be honest.

Rooms are adequate but a bit dated. Despite signs that say save the environment by hanging your towels, they still changed them every day. The gym is top notch (among the best hotel gyms I’ve used). The concierge lounge which I was able to use was nice - plenty of snacks and drinks. Decent breakfast in the morning too - plenty of bacon, potatoes, fruit, yogurt and sweet breads - they could improve the scrambled eggs though (almost like they are fake - thank god for salt paper and hot sauce). Location is great - a short walk to the mall and other dining locations - I met my kids for a dinner at Cheesecake Factory one evening. However, the hotel is in a busy area - and the mall road has fast cars and isn’t particularly well lit, so don’t dawdle as my mother used to say.
