SpringHill Suites by Marriott Fairfax Fair Oaks

Good value at the location I needed. Rooms are very clean. It's quiet at night, but the room we had faced Random Hills Road so traffic noise picked up in the morning. The only pain is that there is no left turn onto the property traveling north on Waples Mill rd making a U-turn at Random Hills a little dicey in traffic. Nice breakfast in the morning. Professional staff. Definitely recommend.

I came here every for almost 2 years. Poor internet became unbearable. I have stayed at the Hampton Inn near by for the last 3 mths. No internet issues. Due to business needs, I need decent internet speeds. I wouldn't even call this decent. I have constantly brought up my concern and it never gets addressed. Can't even watch a netflex movie on my laptop. Tried my iPad as well and a lot of buffering. I have a bunch of colleagues spending a lot of time with me after the first of the year. Hampton Inn it is.

I stayed at this hotel last night and it is the worst Marriott property I can remember staying it, ever. The mid-eighties, all brown room decor is tired and depressing. There was hair on the walls of the shower and shower curtain. And the floor is carpeted. What hotel has wall to wall carpet anymore. Unsanitary and disgusting. Every time the heat kicked on, the unit emitted a high pitched whine that woke me up. I plugged my laptop in to charge it overnight only to discover the outlet was dead, and so was my laptop. Only one elevator was working and the carpet in the elevator lobbies is worn and frayed. The high carb, low protein breakfast was truly sad. Nothing healthy. No yogurt, no fresh fruit. I did not have a good experience. The bathroom was dirty (hairs everywhere) and the sofa arm rest had lots of visible stains. The towels all smelled like fried food/cheetos. I smelled like it after drying myself which was disturbing. The worst part is I started to feel itchy in the bathroom early hours of the morning and I saw some small bumps on the back of my arms and neck. When I checked the bed and pulled down the fitted sheet there were so many blood stains (evidence of bed bugs) 🤮 this has never happened to me before. Never staying here again this was more like a motel sadly.
