Residence Inn by Marriott Fairfax City

As of February 2026 the interior of this hotel is in excellent shape. We had a very quiet and comfortable night’s stay. Hot breakfast was above average for Residence Inn /comparable hotels. Didn’t see the usual outdoor features (no pool or basketball court) but they did have a nice Weber grill in great shape. Reasonable rate for the area, although they do charge for parking. Friendly, responsive staff. Overall highly recommended! Solid “A” for sure.

I can't say enough good things about our stay here when we had to evacuate our home temporarily due to some renovations. The one bedroom unit we were in was well laid out and spacious, and there was ample storage for clothing, toiletries, etc. Housekeeping was flexible if I needed it done during a particular window (or not at all) and always accommodated any special request (extra towels, paper products, condition refill). Honestly, probably our best experience ever with housekeeping. Parking was abundant, and I never had to walk too far to the entrance. The bathroom toiletries were of a good quality and smelled amazing. All the kitchen appliances worked well, and the plates, cutlery, etc, met our needs.||A few things that would have made our time here perfect: an oven in the kitchen

We stayed for two nights and we were extremely pleased with the property, staff, and amenities. We stayed with two kiddos, 2 and 5, and it was very family friendly and comfortable. The room was large and had everything we needed. Everything was very clean and well cared for. The bathrooms were nice and clean and the toiletries provided were large and great quality. Breakfast was great and much better than we had expected. The staff was friendly and accommodating, especially the front desk worker Su. She deserves a raise! She was helpful and hardworking throughout our visit. We traveled into DC and it was an easy trip into the city. We found the area that the hotel was in to be nice and it felt fairly safe. We had no issues finding a place to park- though beware parking under the trees

Stayed over the Holidays. Room was well proportioned and very clean, as was the bathroom with a walkin shower. In Fairfax VA. Bed was firm and comfortable. Kitchenette was also clean and well supplied with necessary utensils. Complementary breakfast was good with choices for all tastes (cold cereal, oatmeal, scrambled eggs, breakfast meats, bagels, bread, muffins, juices, tea, and of course coffee. Room was quiet despite being on busy Rt. 123 with trucks, etc. Close to "Old Town" Fairfax.

Rooms and bed extremely comfortable. Pet friendly but no pet odors. During a recent stay during a snow storm staff was fantastic about clearing the snow. Especially helpful digging out cars.
