Hilton Lexington/Downtown

The hotel is old but clean and the rooms are fine. It was very warm in the room when we arrived ( winter, 30 degrees outside). The only way to cool it down slightly was to turn it off. |We were going to a concert at Rupp Auditorium and wanted to eat early. There is no restaurant, just a bar-type place with basic foods ( apps like nachos and burgers). No desserts. We were hoping to have an actual meal.|Breakfast was crowded ( 9 am on a Sunday) and we waited for a table. The breakfast buffet was fine. |If you are staying there, fund another place to eat. And be prepared for temperature extremes in your room.

Lumpy bed, longgg black hairs in tub and sink, rust and peeling paint on the bathroom ceiling. The "heat was turned on for the {entire?!?} building today so if your room is hot turn off your entire room unit." Didn't matter, we were being cooked from below. Being able to set your hotel room temp to your liking is the bare minimum for a stay, anywhere. It's one of the core services expected to be provided by all customers. Hotel was full and understandably we couldn't switch rooms, no complaints there. They sent up 2 fans, much appreciated no complaints to the engineers. Front desk was 10/10 working within their means. You can do better, Hilton. For the price, a patron should be able to expect a clean space with working bathrooms and a professional staff. I was registered by a very friendly and knowledgeable woman at the front desk; however, she and her colleague were wearing very casual clothes (sweatshirts). Not a good welcoming impression of a large convention center hotel. Bathroom toilet would not flush. Maintenance did come and fix it, but why didn’t this get flagged when housekeeping was cleaning? Bathroom is very run down: rust around the bathroom drain, deeply cracked shower, mirror frame peeling around the entire perimeter, wallpaper torn off behind the toilet, caulk on top of the wallpaper and not properly sealed in some areas, ceiling cracked and falling down. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We stayed at the Hilton Downtown Lexington for our wedding weekend and couldn’t have been happier with our experience! From start to finish, the staff was so kind and accommodating. Bryna was absolutely wonderful to work with—she made the process of setting up our wedding room block easy and stress-free, and even helped us secure adjoining rooms so our bridal party could get ready together. The hotel itself was beautiful, clean, and perfectly located for our guests to enjoy downtown Lexington. Everyone who stayed there had great things to say about their rooms and the service. We’re so grateful to the Hilton team for helping make our wedding weekend run smoothly and feel so special. Highly recommend for any wedding or special event!

Positive: It was clean. We had a problem in our first room, and they moved us to another room to make things better. Negative: Parking was a nightmare. There wasn?t enough of it. We were still charged $15 a night for parking despite not being able to park there. Our first room had a broken a/c. It wouldn?t cool and it made a terrible sound. It took them several hours to move us.
