Hilton Garden Inn Salt Lake City/Layton

The welcome I received from Cyntia and Reggie when I arrived at the front desk kicked off an exceptional stay at the Hilton Garden Inn. During the 3 days I attended a confrence, I encountered numerous associates who were hospitable and friendly and truly made my stay pleasant. The hotel being connected to the conference center where our meetings were held made it so easy as an attendee, and the staff at the Davis Conference Center was attentive, friendly and hospitable. The food and breaks were great, dirty dishes always cleared - and I loved the charcuterie cups! I was also impressed that the coffee urns were always flowing with coffee and never empty! My final comment is in regards to the hotel general manager, Mele, who I saw at the front desk, in the hallways and working alongside her

How was my stay? Let me as you. How do you think my stay was? As a former hotel employee, I understand everything that it takes to lead a hotel. To a Hilton standard.||Check in time is 3:00 pm. We tried checking in at 2:00 pm but there were no rooms. I was given the standard “we had so many check outs and so many check ins we will have rooms at 3:00 pm” Scripts are for those who can’t have a conversation with a guest and improvise on their own. You can do better.||We came back at 3:00 pm to check in. Still no rooms available. No apology. No ETA. Just they are working on it. (I could school you on how we do checkouts in the housekeeping department, in terms of communicating with the front desk and providing ETA’s for guests that are waiting. That is not my job.)||I came back

Positive: "" Negative: The AC/heat doesn?t work in the suite. The bedroom one is on cold air conditioning broken in the on position. The one in the living won?t turn on. Switches are broken. The front desk would not answer the phone. The jetted tub was dirty. Wasted money

I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Salt Lake City/Layton while attending the 2026 Western States Lodging and Management Leadership Conference at the attached Davis Conference Center and had a great experience. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The gym was excellent and well equipped, which was a huge plus during my stay. I also loved that there is a bar connected to the hotel right in the lobby. The lobby itself was welcoming, with plenty of seating areas that made it easy to get work done, along with convenient items available for purchase to help with your stay. Having everything connected made the experience incredibly convenient, and the team was fantastic.

Love this hotel! I’ve stayed here many times and this was one of the best stays I’ve had. The staff was fantastic, the room looked great and no issues during my stay. The hotel’s leadership team has certainly stepped up their game and are doing an excellent job. The proximity to the Davis Conference Center is always a huge plus, with no need to even step outside when heading to our event.
