Comfort Inn Layton - Salt Lake City

My daughters and I spent four nights in this quiet, comfortable hotel. While it may be older than others, it was clean and the staff was amazing. Every hotel needs a Ms. Lesa. She really made the whole stay that much better. We were welcomed by her joyful attitude and my youngest was soooo excited to get back after her gymnastics meet just to show Lesa her medals. She really made the place feel like a home away from home. You also can’t beat their cinnamon rolls! We were up early enough two of our mornings to partake in this delicious treat. The location was fabulous too, with easy access to eating, shopping, and activities. We would definitely stay again.

This place was clean, comfortable and quiet. We were warmly greeted at check-in and everything was handled smoothly. Our room was clean and everything worked well. Breakfast was good. It is nice to have several choices. It was busy in the breakfast area, but someone was always there making sure things were replenished. We'd gladly stay here again.

Rooms and location 4 stars, but the service made it 5 stars. Showed up at another hotel that we had a reservation at who told us their pool was operating. They told us when we arrived that it actually wasn’t. Canceled. Told my toddler we had to get back in the car for a second. We all cried a little. Showed up at the Comfort and the staff was friendly and sympathetic to my little family’s situation and got us all set up and happy again in no time! Great great experience

It was just ok. The front elevator was turned off every morning, which was very inconvenient since I am disabled and using the stairs is painful. I only found out there was a second elevator when I called to get help carrying luggage downstairs for checkout. (Since it's so routine, there should have been signs.) All employees were helpful and kind. We had a toilet paper holder barely holding on and it did fall out during our visit. Odd placement. Beds were comfortable. Towels at the pool were super thin and tiny. I did feel safe. Oh, the internet they offered was minimal--it was one bar and it disappeared after half an hour or a second person in the party logged on--for the whole day. I have never written a bad review before because I try to not be petty but I am beyond angry with the service at this hotel! We paid through priceline for a room with two queen beds and a pullout sofa bed. After we checked in we went to our room to discover it was the wrong room. It had two queen beds and no sofa bed. We had our four kids with us and there was no way this room could accommodate our family. We talked to the front desk to ask them about getting the right room but Lisa was rude and dismissive and did nothing to help us. They told us to contact Priceline to get a refund. The Priceline representative then contacted the hotel and they lied to them saying we had been there for over four hours and used the beds. this is not true.
