Hilton Garden Inn Fredericksburg

Worst Hilton Garden Inn I have ever stayed at. I am planning on coming back to Fredericksburg but will NOT stay here. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable and old and the TV is outdated. Just very disappointed. They do not offer free breakfast with your stay which is fine but other hotels do. Glad it was my birthday as they waived my $7 dollar parking fee because it was my birthday. Still can’t believe they charge 7 dollars to park when it it an open lot off the interstate. That’s insane and completely ridiculous.

The staff was very courteous; the front desk and the housekeepers were very friendly. The location in terms of access to stores and restaurants was perfect, however the hotel is next to I-95, and the traffic could be heard all hours of the day and night. The upper floors were under construction, and I was informed that construction would start at 9 AM, however on the first morning, there was consistent banging before 9 AM that prevented my husband and I from sleeping in. My package was purchased through Expedia, but there was no mention of construction or the $7 per night for parking. The room was spacious, however the bathroom was dated and could use some upgrading. There was very poor lighting, a weak exhaust system and inadequate hooks on the door so the towels kept falling to the floor

Nice hotel, it is going through renovations right now, so when they are done im sure the rooms will be 5 star. Location is great in the Fredericksburg area. Service is top notch, helpful, friendly and the reason why im even doing a post.

The facility was clean and welcoming. We stay at Garden Inns when traveling so that we don’t have to go out for dinner after a long day on the road. Their in house restaurants are generally all the same with decent food throughout the chain. This was not the case here. The server told us they were out of chicken nuggets, which was fine. My husband ordered steak and a Caesar salad and the server said, “Oh we don’t have steak, I don’t know why it’s still on the menu.” I ordered the chicken dish that comes with grains. She said, “It comes with mashed potatoes, is that alright?” I said, “No, I’ll have the Veggie Primavera.” I’ve had it many times before and enjoyed it. This came with green beans, yellow beans, and carrots, and were certainly not roasted. Whatever green stuff was sprinkled on

Positive: The hotel was clean and the staff were nice. Negative: The restaurant closed 30 minutes early. Restaurant does not deliver to the room.
