Hilton Garden Inn Cartersville

Stopped by on our way to Florida. Two seniors (wife and I). Retired. Looking to travel more. Asian bugs in our room on entry. Like 10 of them near the HVAC unit on the wall. $5 parking fee (then there are signs outside that the hotel is not responsible for damage to your vehicle). No free breakfast. $3 bottles of water availabe. Close to $180 when all said and done. $25 refundable blah blah fee? Doing all this from my room. "Used" to be an Honors member. Drury Inn on our way down had a really good room, free breakfast, three free drinks at the (small) hotel bar and a free dinner. I wouldn't avoid this hotel but until they figure out the asian bug situation (I have pictures) and start giving something back to the travelor, I'm booking elsewhere.

The room was recently renovated, but unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations for cleanliness. We found food crumbs on the floor next to the bed, and there was hair all over the shower. There was also a huge stain on the wall. In addition, the AC unit was missing the bottom cover, leaving wires exposed, which felt unsafe and unappealing.

Typical American hotel rooms, but the housekeeping is good. Plenty of breakfast options as well. Hotel is located close to restaurants and shopping centers which is very convenient.

I recently stayed at this newly renovated Hilton Garden Inn and met the most amazing bartender Brittney! She was the sweetest soul! The service was top notch and the conversation was delightful. Chris the chef cooked me the best steak I have had in months. Thank you for the great service. They both deserve a big bonus. In a world of selfish people they both went out of their way to give great service to others!

Great staff! Upgraded rooms and lobby are nice. The only negative is they did away with the breakfast buffet and now it’s menu ordering only. The food is still good but a buffet is a lot quicker and easier. Other HGI properties still have a buffet, not sure why this one doesn’t.
