Gatewood Park

I really wanted to give this place 5 stars simply because how pretty and peaceful it is... but it's lacking in other aspects. The lake is beautiful and if you have lake/beach access it's nice. However, the spots are tiny. We had a 30 ft camper, and our truck was almost in the road the spots were small. Depending on the campsite, the table may be behind your camper and the fireplace someone else. You may be on a slope like us, and you can hardly sit in folding chairs cause they fall over with no even ground. There's only 1 bathhouse for the whole place, and it's uphill from every spot. The spots like 9-15, you have to drive opposite of the whole place, through primitive campsites and back around to get to them where you can back in. Also there's no service over there. Fairly challenging disc golf course. Some very pretty holes that run along the lake. I will definitely be back and the groundskeepers take care of everything from sweeping the tea pads, to clearing out the fairways. Even the practice area was nice and well kempt, as I was leaving they were out there mowing it again! After talking with them, they seem to really care about this place and I would recommend anyone get out there and give it a try. Even if you're just there to walk some trails

Very nice campground. Place reservations through Bartow County. It's kind of tricky... you have to add each day individually to the purchase cart. Many of the campsites are very short and would work for a popup camper. Many of the campsites are far from. The bath house. Many campsites have waterviews.

This is a great place to either camp in a tent or bring a camper or RV. Choose between campsites with or without water and electricity hook ups. Some great spots close to the lake to enjoy. Boatramp. I am pretty sure there is a frisbee golf course also.

Beautiful place to take your family and friends! Great spots with even better views!
