We were there for a volleyball tournament at LakePoint (not our first time there) and enjoyed the stay greatly. Rooms are nice, well-appointed, and CLEAN. We did have a couple of small issues, one being a fire alarm that was pulled by some kids staying in the hotel (which hotel staff quickly determined the cause and got everyone back in without much inconvenience) and the second being we had arranged a late checkout for 2:00pm and came back to the room having been cleaned out, along with about half the food from the night before which we planned to eat for lunch. I could understand the cleaning staff’s confusion since we’d already moved our bags to the car, but we did have the DND sign outside the door and the late checkout was confirmed by the manager on duty, Tracy(sp?) Wilson. That said
I travel frequently and stay at various Marriott properties, and Element is typically one of my favorite brands because of the modern feel and overall consistency. Unfortunately, this particular location did not meet the standard I’ve come to expect. The room was not clean upon arrival. We found hairs throughout the room, and it generally felt dirty, which was very disappointing. Cleanliness is something I rarely have to question at Marriott properties, so this was surprising. The highlight of our stay was breakfast. Issac Ramirez went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. He was professional, attentive, and even prepared breakfast to go since my wife wasn’t able to leave the room. His service truly stood out and made a difference in an otherwise disappointing experience.
Element Cartersville is a fresh, new hotel recently opened this year near the Lakepoint Ballparks in Emerson. It is a more deluxe version of Marriott’s slick 15 year old boutique brand. This location has a restaurant called the Skyline Bistro on the 5th floor — most Elements have only four floors — with live music on weekends and a delightful open air terrace. Personally, given the name of the hotel, I believed they should have named the restaurant The Periodic Table.||Service here is notably pleasant. Steve at the front desk provided a welcoming arrival experience, although the neighborhood was in the middle of a power outage. ||The property is super clean thanks to a first rate housekeeping team. Rooms are functional and have plenty of lighting everywhere you need it, abundant elect
This was not a nice hotel. From first impressions it looks new and fancy but far from it. The clerk at the front desk was nice but that is where it ends. I get to my room and notice hairs all over the place. On the blankets, sheets, counters, furniture and especially all over the bathroom. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. Also there were stains and drink cup rings in several surfaces. Then the maintenance comes, quickly knocks and then tries to enter the room when I yelled out one moment. Then someone else who was just wearing black pants and plain white T-shirts tried to enter my room. quickly knocked and then walked in before I could even respond. Once I yelled out he quickly left and when I opened the door he was several doors away already. When I questioned him he mumbled something and quickly w
Booked a 2 queen bed arrived and only 1 king was available, was told they would accommodate our room rate because we had to sacrifice a bed and was told they could get a cot for 3rd person within 30 mins. Called back down to front desk 3 hours later and was told they were working on it. Went down stairs to get the cot myself and was told it was broken. So my husband is sleeping in the floor. The bathroom is filthy. The heat in room was broken and we’re all freezing. Not to mention I was charged more than the original price of my room.
