Hilton Garden Inn Albany

The location of the hotel is easy to find and Frank (registration desk) was nice and very accommodating. The hotel is modern and comfortable and clean. Marques is an Excellent Chef. The food was delectable!! Jordan is a phenomenal server and was very humorous and fun. Jabrral is a great host and was so entertaining and I enjoyed chatting with her. I will be staying here again.

Great place to stay when visiting historic downtown Albany, Georgia, which played an important role in the Civil Rights Movement during the turbulent 1960s. The Ray Charles Plaza is located right across the street, showcasing the city’s pride in its legendary native son, Ray Charles, who spent part of his childhood here. The rooms are nice and well kept, the beds are comfortable, and the staff is excellent.

This hotel has remodeled the rooms since my last visit in August 2023 and the improvements are fabulous! The beds are new uncomfortable in the bathroom bathrooms has new, modern fixtures. Breakfast was the star on the tree. When I asked, my server, LaShonda confirmed the grits were not instant. They were the farthest thing from instant, they were excellent 🙂. My host Tony was warm and inviting. (He has an excellent singing voice, as I heard him quietly singing Landslide). The chef, Wayne cooked my bacon to perfection. I am sorry that I only have one more day in Albany.

Positive: I lived through the night Negative: The noise (sirens, road noise, people talking in the room next to me, I could hear the whole conversation) , the walls are paper thin, it smelled, the food was terrible, unorganized. No view of the river, homeless sleeping across the road.

The front desk clerk “Sandra” was very nice , accommodating to me & the wife. She got us booked in early, and because we are Gold Hilton Club members she gave two delicious chocolate chip cookie! Her professionalism should be modeled at all Hilton branded establishments!
