Harkness Brook Inn

The staff are professional, super friendly and accommodating. Both Chelsea and Kyra went above and beyond to make our stay so pleasant. The rooms are newly renovated, spacious, clean with a modern look. Although the hotel is located on a main road, the traffic flow is minimal after sunset so very quiet.

Harkness Brook Inn was a charming and cozy hotel tucked away in the quiet town of Rockport, Maine. The location was perfect—just six minutes from downtown Camden, where there are plenty of shops, restaurants, and coffee spots to explore. The atmosphere was peaceful, making it a great spot to relax after a day of sightseeing. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, comfortable stay close to all the action in Camden.

Room was very clean and spacious. Unfortunately the outlet next to sink did not work, I had to go to a friend's room to dry my hair. No hot water to shower for the 2nd person, nor for my friends room. When I checked out I told the person on staff. They said that was unusual and took note of the outlet, nothing else. The rooms were expensive, especially for not being able to shower or dry hair.

This Inn had lovely, comfortable and contemporary rooms. The bed was cozy. The shower was roomy and modern. The Inn was easily accessible and despite being on a busy road the room was very quiet. A wonderful experience!!

The room reeked of cigarette smoke. I had the windows open all day and it didn’t help. I asked for the bedding to be changed, since that smelled too. They did do that, but the room still smells. Although they have signs stating that they charge a $250 cleaning fee for smoking in the room. They may collect the money, but do not clean. I also could not get into the room on arrival, because it was locked from the inside. The staff has to use a bent hanger to jimmy the lock to let you in. No cups or glasses in the room. If the lobby is open, you can get some from there. I would not recommend staying here.
