Cute and comfortable. Good beds, fridge, microwave, safe location. Plenty of parking. Beware of the other hotels downtown. Highly recommend.

By posting this review, I’m not trying to be mean. I just want future travelers to know what could happen. During our first 5 minutes in the room, our 10 year old granddaughter discovered human excrement on one of the towels in the shower. This was disgusting. I called the after hours number and a young man delivered new linens to the room. My best guess is that the cleaning crew failed to remove the dirty linens and just hung them back up on all the towel racks. In addition, my wife and I changed the bed linens as well. I had left a voice mail with the main office to this hotel. I figured an apology of some sort would have been in order. Not so. Not a peep from anyone. This is a clean, affordable place to stay while you are in the Santa Cruz area. It is obvious the staff and owners take pride in giving guests a nice experience. Charming. Coffee, bath essentials, airy rooms all provided. I had a small fridge and iron, blow dryer. Other small thoughtful items included. Definitely will return.

We had a comfortable stay. Having read some of the reviews that the traffic noise on Seventh could be an issue, I asked for a quieter room. We stayed in 306, which is a ground floor room in the 2nd building. Be aware that not all rooms have private bathrooms. Although not listed on its website, basic toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner and body wash, and a hair dryer were provided. The water pressure in the shower was awesome!

Room 305 mattress way too soft caused back pain all night. Room otherwise perfect lots of space spotless good size bathroom great stay!
