Booked this room Sunday before the blizzard started, only good thing about this room is that it’s a room and you won’t be sleeping outside, service is horrible, I knew there was going to be a storm and I knew I would need more supplies from house keeping when I knew one toilet paper roll was in the room from my few day stay, no tissues or napkins etc, I asked on the first day if it was ok if I can get more things now in case the snow gets too bad and housekeeping can’t make it, they said no they can’t give me anything but that tomorrow everything would be brought by because housekeeping would bring it, the next day the snow came in hard, couldn’t leave the room for anything and the things I asked for of course were not brought to me from housekeeping, the day after which is Tuesday the 24t

My review is based on my expectation of a basic motel in a very expensive town. This was an affordable and convenient place to stay while in Newport for a wedding. The room/bathroom was clean, the heater worked great and the bed was comfortable. It's not a four star hotel but it gets four stars for what it is.

This is your basic BASIC motel. If you are looking for a place to shower and spend the night it's fine. If you're looking for luxury... Look elsewhere. The girl at check-in was very pleasant. ||This was a last minute one night trip to meet with family who were visiting Newport. We needed a room and found this one for $188. Which is a great price for a Saturday night in Newport. || While the room was very outdated, it was clean. The shower was hot and had great water pressure. TV microwave and fridge/freezer in room. Bed was ok. Not the best mattress. It's about a 15 minute drive to Thames Street. ||If you're not picky this is fine. But it's not a 5 star hotel. It's more a 1 or 2 star. We only stayed one night. I came in at 2pm. An hour before check in time and was told I'd have to come back at 3pm because that was check in time. Sure. No problem. Came back at exactly 3pm and was told my room was NOT ready still and it would take about another hour for it to get ready. Meanwhile, 3 others checked in after me and got rooms immediately. I booked my rooms and paid in full weeks in advance. When I asked the lady why they got their rooms after me and mine wasn't ready, she gave me an attitude. If I could've booked something in the same price range nearby same day I would've. Good luck if you book here.

If you want to get scolded by a 21 year old front desk kid...for booking a room at this place, paying for it online, and showing up. Knock yourself out. I booked it through a 3rd party (last time for that). They never said check in was only up to 11:00pm (THAT's a new one) but the kids says it's my responsibility and scolding me that I showed up at 11:15. There was no way I was taking responsibility. "For future bookings..." Future bookings? I wouldn't go to this place if the rooms were FREE and The Foo Fighters were playing in the parking lot. Imagine the sign of the times w this generation. They would rather scold me instead of let me check in...to a room I already paid for. Oh wait....gets better...of course, they are denying my credit for not letting me check in. Amazing!
