Hampton Inn & Suites Peoria at Grand Prairie, IL

This is a very nice Hampton. Several of us stayed here. Everyone said the same thing. Great staff. Breakfast was awesome. Rooms clean and nicely decorated. For a good meal nearby, Double A's Sports Bar in walking distance across the parking lot right out front, and Brienzo's Pizza is a nice place for dine in or carry out, about a mile down the road just past the AMC Theatres. As some have noted, the decor is a bit dated. It's still functional and comfortable though. The breakfast lounge area is cool. Two-story high ceiling and nice comfortable lounge area too. We will definitely stay here again.

The stay here was more than expected. Visiting a grandson at Bradley University, it was nice to be north of town and not deal with downtown traffic. There was a mall across the street, but no noise traffic at the hotel. The room was very comfortable. Staff were outstanding, especially Sandra at the front desk. The room was nicely set up and the beds were comfortable. Have already recommended this hotel to other family members.

At first glance, this Hampton Inn & Suites is definitely outdated. While it wasn’t filthy dirty, it also wasn’t very clean and did not meet the standards I usually expect from this brand. The biggest issue was the shower—the water was not warm at all, which was extremely disappointing after long days at a softball tournament. We stayed two nights, and our room was not cleaned during our stay. Housekeeping only removed our used towels and did not replace them. We were also almost out of toilet paper, which was never restocked. Overall, this hotel was a letdown. I would not recommend staying here and would strongly suggest going down the road to the Holiday Inn instead, which is much nicer and better maintained.

we stayed there for a softball tournament and the shower was freezing cold. we were told they were sorry but they were full and there was nothing they could do about it. when we checked out, I asked if there was any compensation for the ice cold shower and was given the card of the manager, Tiffany, and was told she would call me. She never did. I called a few times and she was never there. I left a message every time and my call was never returned.
