Hampton Inn & Suites National Harbor/Alexandria Area

This hotel was the worst experience I’ve ever had with a Hilton hotel. We got two rooms to fit our whole family. The first room had no hot water, and didn’t even have a blanket on the bed! Basic standards missed. The second room ac did not work for the two days we were there. I am checking out at 78 degrees in our room right now. We also had loud crowds in the hall til I called twice to have someone sent up late at night. I wouldn’t stay here for free. |And yes all of these concerns were conveyed to staff in real time.

We had a lovely stay here. The first night our heat did not work and the next morning Foday from maintenance personally moved us. He was so kind and very helpful. Everyone at this hotel are extremely pleasant and helpful. The hotel is super clean and the breakfast well stocked. We love how close it is to the conference center across the road. The parking is convenient and added to your room rate. Super location and excellent stay!

This hotel was excellent. The front desk staff was very helpful and very friendly. We had a two bed room which was very spacious. Room also included a table and chairs in the “kitchen” area. The bathroom was quite large and included a huge walk in shower. I have never been to this area before, but I hope to revisit and know we can stay here again.

Our family travels a lot for my 2 girls who do competitive cheer. Often we will book with Hilton/hampton and have had wonderful experiences. However, this time was significantly different. I booked a room through Expedia and because of the impending storm coming towards Washington, the cheer competition organizer canceled the event. Super bummed and within less than 72 hours so I anticipated having to pay a cancellation fee. However, I have had back and forth between Expedia and the hotel for 3 days now and every time I talk to someone it’s something different. 2 days ago it was the room would be refunded with a cancellation fee, yesterday they were waiving the fee I just had to have Expedia call, even though Expedia told me I had to call them.
