Hampton Inn & Suites Kodak Sevierville

Hotel had decent reviews and we are long time silver members of Hilton and always use the Hampton inn brand as it's usually more upscale so we're willing to pay more for the benefits of it.||Not this Hampton Inn.||We were told there was "renovations" going on and of course we requested to be put far away from any noise or disturbances with our room as we're vacationing and want peace and quiet and some days maybe even sleep in a little. Staying 9 days 8 nights as our reservation detailed you would think they would put us far away from the construction and initially we were however the workers kept moving down the hallway closer to us that by the second to last day they were only one room separating us from them and oh the noise and banging and yelling was unbearable as they started at 8 a.

We’ve enjoyed staying at Hampton Inns before, but this stay wasn’t so great. Small things like no soap in the bathroom and a nearly empty roll of toilet paper. So we had to go to the desk for both of those. The pillows were probably the worst we’ve encountered at pretty much any hotel. Had to deal with a sore neck all day after sleeping on a soft pillow offering virtually no support at all. When trying to check out in the AM, one woman was standing at the desk waiting for the front desk worker to return so she could purchase something while we were waiting to check out. But she was in the back socializing and laughing with another employee even after trying to get her attention. A bell or something at the desk may be helpful to get their attention when they’re hanging out in the back offic

The Hampton brand is my go-to and this hotel almost made 5 stars. What it lacked was poor lighting in the guest room and not a single USB port! It looks like the rooms may be going through a remodel based on the construction stuff in the parking lot and the construction racket at 8:05am in the room above. Maybe next time, I can offer 5 stars, but not for this trip. The common areas were nicely remodeled and the breakfast was the standard fare and wasn't too bad for free. Overall, a nice, clean and safe place to hunker down for a night . Be sure to bring your charging blocks for your electronics in case you get one of the rooms that hasn't been updated yet.

Positive: Good location and clean. Negative: The room and limited USB ports. The bed side table had the only USB port and the office table did not have any USB ports.

What a great hotel! Everyone that worked the front desk was fantastic, especially Phyllis who went above and beyond for our family! The rooms were HUGE and clean, and have recently been renovated. Only issue, which was really a non-issue was our room was missing a closet clothing rod and we didn’t have body wash but again it was a “nothing” and Phyllis offered to help with everything. We are actually returning for another wedding in June and will stay at this hotel again!
