Douglas Tailwater Campground

​Douglas Tailwater is, without question, the best campground I have ever visited. This location fully deserves its 5-star rating, providing an experience that seamlessly blends tranquility, spectacular nature, and excellent service. ​The atmosphere here is absolutely perfect. The park is wonderfully quiet and peaceful, and being parked right beside the river provided a visually stunning and relaxing backdrop for our entire stay. ​The wildlife sightings were the highlight of the trip: we were treated to a spectacular, unforgettable show when a bald eagle swooped down and successfully caught a fish—not just once, but twice! ​Beyond the natural setting, the campground is exceptionally well-managed. The grounds are impeccably maintained, showing that the staff truly cares about the environment

I come here multiple times a year every, year since I was born. This visit has been the worst one. I stayed 3 weeks with my parents. We had one site week one and a different site weeks 2-3. The second site was infested with Ants and had ticks. I spent my last 2 weeks there killing ants instead of relaxing by the river. We went through 4 cans of ant spray and ant bait. The grass was cut the first week we were there and that was it. The grass was long and unkept at the second site. Someone came into the restroom to clean them, while I was taking a shower. That has NEVER happened. If there has been someone in the bathroom, the person cleaning has ALWAYS came back when no one was in there. It is very inappropriate to clean while someone is in there, especially taking a shower. I dont even know

This campsite is beautiful and clean. In all honesty would be a 5 star review, but the owner is exceptionally unprofessional. It is one thing to enforce site rules; it is another to curse out a paying customer for accidental

Very nice campground, gravel, river front, shaded, level sites, peaceful and quiet, enjoyed bird watching. Front desk people were the sweetest and most accommodating. Best to call to reserve a spot instead of booking online. We loved staying there and hope to be back soon! Can’t beat the price!

Had a hard time at this place. Only stayed 4 hours the first night and none the second night. No refund given for second night. There was a razor blade right on the ground. Glad my kid was older. The ground was too hard to even get the tent up. Wouldn’t give me the site I wanted on the website even though no one was there. Was only 2 over. That would have gave us more space. Keeping my money is kind of scammy since we didn’t stay there
