Hampton Inn & Suites Harvey/New Orleans West Bank

The location was good for us- lots around. However I did pick this hotel because it has an indoor pool. The pool which is indoors was FREEZING- you cannot swim in that. There were many other hotels that were nicer and cheaper without a pool that I would have rather stayed. The breakfast was good and the front desk/ kitchen people were friendly. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. There was a lot of trash outside the property and dog poop that was not picked up. It is a pet friendly hotel and one of our days there was a dog barking for a good 20 min straight.

The staff here is above and beyond! Every single person we came in contact with who works here was fabulous!! They were so friendly, kind and super helpful! Our room was clean and the A/C was fabulous. If traffic isn't bad it's just a 15 - 20 minute drive into downtown (Canal Street, French Quarter, etc). But there are several stores- Target and WalMart within a one to two minute drive if you need to grab something really quick. We felt super comfortable here and will come back when we are in New Orleans again.

My husband accidentally messed up with our reservation but the manager was able to figure it out a solution for us. The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, staff is amazing and the grits are to die for. We’re definitely coming back when in New Orleans. Highly recommend!

The initial woman who checked us in was very nice but we were first given a room key that didn't work, then the key did work but it awkwardly opened into an occupied room! After that, the man at the front desk couldn't care less and said nothing as he gave us keys for a new room, this led to a room with one bed instead of the two queens we booked. Finally, he unapologetically gave us keys to the correct room... I would never stay here again, just out of concern that someone would get keys to my room so easily.
