Hampton Inn & Suites Edgewood/Aberdeen-South

This is a nice hotel for a great price, and I was very pleased with my stay. The hotel is located conveniently off the highway and is easy to get to, but it isn't so close to the highway that you're hearing constant traffic. There is plenty of self-parking available at no extra cost right on the premises, and you do not need to register your vehicle when checking in, which is an added convenience. The hotel is located in a business park area full of lots of different hotels, and there are several restaurants nearby. The only restaurant that is really within walking distance from the hotel is Island Spice Grill & Lounge, which is about a 6 minute walk from the hotel. Otherwise, you will likely need to drive wherever you're going to avoid walking across busy roads. The front desk staff

Hotel gets a 5 star from me. The room was great, pool area clean and plenty of towels, and breakfast had a variety of warm foods and fruits etc. The staff was also great, especially the night shift desk staff who were incredibly patient with my kids who kept buying snacks from the front snack shop. I appreciate the staff making us feel welcome (some hotels give you an eye roll if you have more than 2 kids). Would def stay here again!

This Hampton Inn is a pretty typical example of the chain, so if you've ever stayed in one before you know what to expect. Rooms and common areas were well-maintained and the business center was useful. My only suggestion is to be aware of the location. It is, along with pretty much all the other hotels in the area, right on a main road which feeds the highway. So the vehicle noise was pretty loud, particularly the many trucks that went by. I didnt realize this when I chose my room, which was on the road side of the hotel. I would suggest picking a room on the opposite side, so at least the traffic noise wont be as bad.

Stayed for one night. Room smelled good. It was clean. We were given 3 water bottles at check in. Weight room looked nice. Bathroom was clean. There was also a tour group staying there. We would definitely stay again.

Positive: Room was damp and smelled moldy or musty like it was recently flooded. Negative: We checked in late after ditching for a restaurant in the area and were only able to find a pizza joint locally
