Hampton Inn Santa Cruz

Honestly pretty disappointed in our stay. Here are the reasons 1.) The minute we got to our room we experienced a huge problem with our toilet. They sent matence up but it didn't fix anything as something was wrong with the auto fill. And took about 40 minutes to fill back up before you could flush again. So we had to add water just to flush the toilet during our stay. And that wasn't okay. And all they did was kept sending matence. At that point I should have switched rooms but we were already unpacked. 2.) They put us in a room over some employees room or whatever kind of room it was. And it was so loud all the time. Don't know what was below us but it was a loud buzzing noise every few minutes.( maybe the elevator machine or washers or the huge ac, who knows ) but it disturbed our sle

So we arrived, helped ourselves to coffee only to find we had gone to the wrong Hampton Inn! This one is Ocean Road which is where we had our reservation for.|Once we arrived at the Ocean Road Hampton Inn we were greeted by a lovely receptionist who was informative and welcoming.|Bed is huge, comfortable and clean.|Pool is small but perfect for our kids. |Breakfast is a buffet consisting of cereals, hot choices, waffles and plenty of different sauces.|Water offered by reception. |Spacious room. |Spacious bathroom with shampoo and conditioner. |Only a 5 minute drive from the boardwalk. Plenty of local diners to walk to.|We really enjoyed our stay. Couldn't fault it. Staff so hospitable and kind.|Smart TV in the room.||Recommend a visit to Capitola beautiful seaside village

Positive: The place was decorated nice and the staff was very helpful and caring. The room was comfortable and clean. Negative: The way the hotel is built you can hear a lot of the hotel guest coming in and out. However it was mainly in the late evening and early mornings, and didn't last too long. We were still able to sleep ok.

I came here with my family for a long weekend and the rooms and location are great but honestly the best part was check in with Reese. My mind was fried after a long week and she had patience with me and made sure I understood everything from breakfast to pool hours. She made me laugh and smile and it was exactly what I needed to shift gears from work-stressed to vacation-smiles. She was also incredibly professional as she trained a new employee and it was clear she made him feel comfortable and excited about the job too. 5-stars for Reese!

This place was great for our stay! Our person who was checking in was super great! Rooms were clean and breakfast was good. Good distance from boardwalk and ocean. Really recommend getting rooms early as they do get busy. Get breakfast early also.
