Hampton Inn Lancaster

A Note on Customer Discretion — or the Lack of It I'm writing this not as someone who stayed here, but as someone who wanted to — and won't be back. My wife and I had booked an overnight stay in Lancaster so our 3-year-old could visit her cousins. The day before our trip, our daughter came down with a fever and was clearly too sick to travel. Beyond her comfort, I wasn't going to expose my brother's family to a contagious, miserable child. We reached out through Chase (how we booked) to ask whether the hotel would consider an exception to their no-refund policy given the circumstances. The response was to point us back to the policy — and to offer us the ability to change the name on the reservation, which, in this situation, helped no one. I understand non-refundable bookings. Positive: The people at this hotel make the experience great! The desk attendants and breakfast preparers were all so kind, welcoming and helpful. The teens loved that it was next door to a Starbucks. Negative: They do clean the rooms every other day, so with a room of four people the towels, trash and toilet paper needed a little more attention than that.

Rooms seem smaller than average. Bathroom counter is barely large enough to fit everyday stuff, definitely too small to bring your clothes in there. Shower is narrow. My arms touched on both sides. Breakfast is good. But that is only upside. For the price of the rooms I was expecting it to be nicer.

We stayed here for my daughter's wedding on Thanksgiving weekend. We reserved about 25 rooms. From the start it was great working with Wesley and getting updates and reminders before the wedding. Very helpful. The rooms were comfortable and the champagne for the bride and groom was a nice touch. |The wedding was at Riverdale Manor on Saturday - a short 5 minute drive from the hotel. Suzanne at the front desk of the Hampton Inn was very friendly and accommodating as some guests wanted to check in early on the day of the wedding to get ready. We hosted an after-party at Isaac's Craft Kitchen & Brewery which is located steps away from the hotel. This made it so easy for guests to walk there right from the hotel! Much gratitude to the exceptional staff at the Hampton Inn Lancaster. Our team was competing at Spooky Nook and needed a great local place to stay, and this property exceeded every expectation. Wesley, the Sales Coordinator, took care of our group every step of the way, making the entire process seamless. Our families were truly impressed with the outstanding customer service, convenient location, cleanliness, and the spacious rooms. A huge thank-you as well for locating an item accidentally left behind by one of our group members and returning it with incredible speed—above and beyond service. As a former event planner, I don’t say this lightly: this staff absolutely knocked it out of the park. We will definitely be back for future events.
