Hampton Inn Gainesville

One of the nicest cleanest and most updated Hampton’s we’ve stayed at in a long time and we travel often. We were greeted warmly and other than forgetting our complimentary Hilton Honors bag (water and snack) we felt genuinely welcomed. The room was very nicely decorated and comfortable, the pool, out door area and workout room were also very clean and updated. The workout room has nice new equipment - loved the treadmills, but for my strength workout routine I missed the dumbbells and weight bench (they did have a nice set of medicine balls). The breakfast buffet was kept stocked and clean and everything was nice and hot. Great stop… slept real well!

I’ve stayed at Hampton Inn Gainesville, 4225 SW 40th Blvd, for the past couple of months while traveling on business. As someone who travels the world frequently, being away from home and family can get tiring. This Hampton truly felt like a home away from home. What makes the difference is the people. Kathy and her team — Xavier, Joseph, the kitchen staff, housekeeping, the engineer Ishwany, and everyone else — run the place with such genuine warmth and care that it almost makes checking out difficult (in the best, humorous way). The hotel is also wonderfully located, close to great food options, shops, and malls, which makes longer stays very convenient. I leave with many good memories and real gratitude. This Hampton is clean and beautifully decorated. As soon as I walked through the front doors into the lobby, the young lady at the front desk immediately greeted me with a smile and a very warm welcome. I felt like a cherished guest! As a Hilton Honors member, she gave me the welcome items to enjoy in my room. The room was clean, attractive, and well stocked. I always appreciate seeing the "welcome my name" on the TV screen as I enter any Hilton brand hotel room. Parking was ample and very attractive amongst trees, bushes, and fauna. There was a beautiful aeriated pond on the property with a few ducks enjoying the water. The pond is surrounded with beautiful fencing so dogs will not approach them. The breakfast was delicious, hot, and of good variety. This was a pleasant experience.

Honestly, a really average Hampton Inn from the facilities. Aging rooms, scuffed furniture, and a sunken couch that’s seen better years. However, this place earned a 5 star review just because of how great the front desk receptionist Seven was. Seven was highly professional, checking in on us along the way. When we had an issue with the sleeper sofa (again this place isn’t brand new…) Seven was able to get us a roll away bed quickly. Outstanding service helps me overlook a couple of cracks and an otherwise average hotel.
