Hampton Inn Baltimore/Owings Mills

Had an ice storm. Reception was nice. Guest area was ok. I understand the issues with weather and all but not being able to have hot food on when the building is operational during a time where ppl are stuck in the building is mind boggling. Reception is literally making coffee for the am at 11pm night before (seen it myself) the hot food consists of basic bagged eggs frozen foods warmed up. The front desk is literally not busy no lines and staring at a computer for hours. Like what are they looking at???? 3 days no hot food is not acceptable. This person can take 3 min every 10 min and step away and hit a few buttons on a microphone. Mentioned I’d do it myself for the 30-40 ppl looking and she was not amused. Coffee was not even warm. Being it’s 7 hours old!

Positive: Staff were friendly and accommodating. Hot breakfast including make your own waffles which we love! Quick check in and check out. When i realized i left my coat and stainless steel water bottle in the room after checkout, they let me back in to get it. Negative: No

Hotel is nice and clean. Staff was great. Breakfast was good, nothing great. Pool needed to be clean. Green algae all over the steps and the tiles in the pool were slimy. Rooms were clean, but the bed were rock HARD and felt like cheap mattresses. It would of been softer to sleep on the carpet. Combined with pillows that deflected as you sleep layed on them, was up every hour in tousing amd turning in pain. Unfortunately, a big part of staying at a hotel is sleep. They fix this issue and the pool, would of been a 4.5 star rating.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good given what the staff had to work with. Coffee was really good. The room was clean for the most part, but the carpet was dirty because my white socks were a very dark color after walking on it. This hotel is in a really good location. I felt really safe. The hotel is really dated and is definitely due for some upgrades. There are NO USBs in the room at all. The bed was really not comfortable at all. Sort of hard. I woke up a few times throughout night and in the mornings, I woke with body cramps. The staff and location made it good for me. The hotel really really needs to be renovated. If you need to stay somewhere for a couple of nights, this will work for you.

I needed a room to rest up for a couple of nights. This hotel is awesome. There's plenty of restaurants and grocery stores near by. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The hot breakfast is very nice. The staff is really nice and friendly. I would recommend this hotel to my familyandfriends.
