Hampton Inn Austin/Oak Hill

Clean hotel, comfortable with big shower and king sized bed. Refrigerator for convenience. Really big TV capable of connecting to YouTube. Only down side was the freeway construction out front, with some noise and decreased accessibility.

Good location with good parking. The breakfast was classic Hampton Inn and there was no line for the waffle maker. The room was what I expected and clean. But something left me feeling so so about the place. I’d call my stay here “just”.||Just confusing enough to find but not impossible. The luggage carts steered just enough but you needed to use both hands to keep it going straight. The elevator was working just enough to get you to your floor but not enough for you to feel you were guaranteed to get there. My only complaint was that none of the roads and driveways seem to make sense in Texas. My navigation on my phone didn't know this hotel had like 3 extra entrances than it showed on the map. Good beds, comfy, quiet and had an AC unit that would keep the fan on, since i like air movement while i sleep.

Positive: Nice breakfast, helpful staff, comfortable bed Negative: Workout room smelled very moldy. Did not use due to smellRoom keys/locks were upgraded during our stay and we came back to find our room unlocked with the door ajar. The desk staff had erroneously been informed that all rooms were completed

The rooms are nice. The biggest drawback of this hotel is the location. The traffic is horrible with all of the construction. Once you're here, this is a nice Hampton Inn. Especially for the price.
