Hampton Inn Austin/Airport Area South

I wish there was a way to give negative stars to this hotel. It all started when I arrived in the afternoon I arrived after booking months in advance. There systems were down, which led to me being forced to wait with all of my luggage until it was back up a running. After waiting a few hours, I finally got to my room that was dusty and hadn’t seem to be cleaned in weeks. I attempted to return to my room after a long night, but it turned out the systems were down for the second time. I was then forced to wait another 30min around 3am because the person at the front desk said that he couldn’t see I was assigned to that room after showing him the reservation and my key card. I woke up to a loud knock at 7am from the person at the front desk who stated that I wasn’t assigned to that room. I p

Positive: The staff were nice, polite and had a welcome presence Negative: The room entrance was tight, the room felt dark even with the lights on, the thermostat did not work and the room was hot and Muggy. The bed was uncomfortable mattress needs to be changed out

I book my stays yearly at this motel as it is conveniently located to a film festival I attend the last week of every September in Austin. The staff is always very courteous and site and rooms are impeccably clean. Something very unusual happened this year that forever hanged my opinion of this mote, which is why I'm leaving this review fo all to read. This year I had the misfortune of having lost my wallet at the downtown film festival only two days into my stay. I told the Front Desk staff what had happened and asked for their help in keeping everything confidential and reporting anything suspicious as my wallet had my room keys, ID and four credit cards in it. All three shifts were genuinely concerned and on board with helping me. They were also exceptionally sympathetic to my issu

I had a great stay at this Hampton Inn. The hotel was very clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the rooms were comfortable. The location is also very convenient, which made everything easy during my trip. I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here 3 days, location is great! Quick 10 minute drive to downtown Austin and quiet location around the hotel. Not very walkable area but not a big deal for me. Slightly dated hilton compared to others that I’ve stayed in. Room could definitely use some work as there was large amounts of mold along the ceiling and caulking in the bathroom. There was also an odd smell upon walking into the room. There is no bathroom fan so it makes sense as all moisture is trapped. Great location, but would likely go to one of the other hotels in the area.
