Do NOT Stay Here Unless You Love Disappointment I’m a seasoned traveler who’s stayed in hundreds of hotels across the U.S. and abroad, so I know what “dated but acceptable” looks like. This place is nowhere near that category. I booked based on the solid online ratings and immediately regretted it the second I stepped inside. The entire hotel felt freezing cold the whole time I was there. The room was so outdated it desperately needs a major refresh. Between the 1990s carpet, furniture, and finishes. The TVs are ancient - not even a guide. The “vibe” is just… off. Nothing feels clean, modern, or welcoming. The elevators are genuinely scary (I was not the only guest making remarks) - old, slow, creaky, and I half-expected one to stop between floors. Worst of all, the HVAC system couldn’t

Betty at Reception is the best! I walked in off the street looking for a place for the night. She was immediately welcoming and answered all my questions before I decided to book online. She asked my room preferences and ensured I had a comfortable space that fit my needs perfectly. The room itself is very clean and comfortable, and the hotel location is excellent. Plenty of great walkable food options, close to transportation- it's an excellent value. And there is parking on premises! I would highly recommend and would stay here again.

So we books initially on the sole purpose of the outside pool. However we learned that they closed the pool down in 2019 and have never opened it again. That was a bummer. The most outstanding part of the stay was the staff. We have stayed in tons of hotels- from the front desk staff to housekeeping and the breakfast staff, they truly are amazing. So polite and genuinely happy ,constantly cleaning and stocking up.. very nice. They held our bags when we got there Friday AM before we could check in. And even allowed us to have a late check out of 2pm since we were catching the Amtrak at 5 pm. ||The room- we stayed on the 6th floor- we had a two double bed room. Very clean- beds were very comfortable. Had a Fridge and microwave. ||The downsides… the curtains do NOT close , had to use a hair

I can’t say enough about how great this hotel is. It exceeded our expectations in every way. Fantastic location that’s walkable to awesome shops and restaurants on King St, garage parking for $20/night, modern room that was very clean, and staff that was just the greatest. I had a family medical emergency and we had to check out at 4pm a day early. Betty was very understanding and didn’t charge us for the night we missed. To add to my stress, we left in such a hurry that I left a couple pieces of clothing in the room. The wonderful housekeeper reported it to Betty who called me immediately, and she kept them for me to get the next day. We will definitely do another stay at this Hampton Inn!
