Golden Circle Inn & Suites

Absolutely disgusting. Any photo online is obviously fake because no room at that dump is anything someone should pay to sleep in. There's no cleaners so you have to take a mop bucket with you when you check in to mop your own room. Mine had slept in dirty sheets with hair everywhere in the bed and all over the bathroom. There's blood splatter all over the ceiling from people shooting up in the rooms. Please don't be cheap because this place could actually harm you if you stay there. Needles all over parking lot

They have weekly motel rates, at a great affordable price on one solid income. The rooms are clean and spacious. The location is fantastic! You have so many stores, restaurants and everything you need in walking distance so if you don’t have a car don’t worry. There are two bus routes within less than a mile walk. The people here in the office are fantastic! I paid for a week and a day and two days before my trip ends the power in my room went out. Not a big deal as they immediately put me into a nice room inside at no extra cost and even let me pay for the night for that room. The showers are fantastic and you get real HOT water. My initial stay was an emergency needing a place right away as I came in town for business, and things changed with the client, so I had to make other arrangements. The place is decent, quiet, large rooms, and staff are very professional and helpful. Noticed quite an active police presence multiple times a day, checking on things and making sure everyone is safe. Guess there have been incidents that made the motel risky, but thankfully, the frequency and efforts of the local police department kept things quiet and safe while I was there. I've never seen housekeeping staff work as hard and ongoing as I've seen here, even in snow and rain, they can be seen going to and from rooms to do their work. This was a strange motel experience. My expectations were low and I was happy to find a reasonably priced motel in the Troy area, but I'm writing this review because upon arriving at my bed after a long day on the road, literally the only thing I was interested in was a nice clean bed, and was I allowed that? No. The bed was full of curly pubic hairs and had clearly just been tucked in without even being washed after it's previous client. Disgusting. Also this hotel hasn't even figured out how to change its name after having changed ownership. Do better, even if your best is low flying...

NEW OWNERS!!! This hotel has improved immensely! New owners and new staff. Front desk gentlemen are friendly and understanding and fair. The cleaning staff is prompt and efficient with their services as well as the maintenance man for the hotel. They plan on changing the name and updating the rooms and giving it a nice face lift. There's no traffic, no fighting no riff raft. It's nice and quiet n private just the way I like it.
