Garner Hotel Murfreesboro West by IHG

We booked a room through IHG and then saw the reviews. We were hesitant and called the hotel. They explained that the bad reviews were from before and during construction. Upon arrival, the hotel was fully remodeled, clean, and welcoming. The hotel is pet friendly and the cost for pets was reasonable. We had a room on the first floor which was great for taking the dog out. A hot breakfast was provided and everything was fresh and tasty. Don’t pay attention to the bad reviews from before 2026. The hotel is not brand new but the remodel is nice and the staff were great.

What a horrid hotel. It was very dirty. My ADA wife had to walk through the parking lot past orange cones to get into the hotel. The front entrance parking was blocked off for the construction. Our room did not even have a dresser, microwave or refrigerator. This was no 3 star hotel. Rooms on every floor were open at 7pm with construction equipment and materials. It was very dangerous. The smell of building solvents was overwhelming. We checked out after seeing our room and went to the Best Western across the street. I contacted IHG and got little response after 2 days. Just a question then silence. I am done with Holliday Inns and all of the IHG hotels.

I stayed here on February 13th. The option for the TV to connect to the internet is not available. Therefore I could not use youtube or Netflix. This needs to be fixed. Other than that, everything this hotel had to offer was pretty good.

Poor renovations. The light had to be on in the entrance for the light and plug next to the bed to work. This caused a problem with my CPAP. The bathroom was old, the door to the bathroom was rotted out at the bottom. Bathtub was slippery. The bed was comfortable and everyone was friendly.

Very disappointed with our stay, they did state on the app that they were doing renovations and it should be done by September 30. We arrived October 15 and they were still doing renovations. Their gym and pool was not open and they only had hot breakfast on Friday. We did suspect bedbugs found in the bed, so we did not stay the night. The towels are really gross and my wife did find a bedbug on one of the towels. After speaking with staff, they did get us a new hotel room across the way at the Spark. This was the best part of this trip.
