Garner Hotel Gillette South

I always love this hotel. We road trip quite extensively and I was just telling my husband this is one of the best hotels we've stayed in, in our past 20 years. The price is a great value. They have been so nice to us. We got in very early one day after a night of bad hotel experiences, we drove on, utterly exhausted, way before check-in, Darlene helped us get a room. She is a shining star at Garner hotel. She leads with her heart, and it makes the hotel spectacular. We have three kids, and the water park is perfect. The water is warm (actual warm) and I loved floating in the lazy river with a book while my kids zipped down the waterslides. I appreciate a warm breakfast, and while the variety isn't great, I am thankful for it every time. I will only stay at this hotel every time I

Our room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good and the staff in the breakfast area were great! Attentive and helpful.|The “water park” was disappointing. It was a nice hotel pool with the water slides but just lacked something. We went swimming three times during the 2 nights we stayed. Our 5 year old granddaughter loved it. I was not as impressed.| The locker rooms were dirty. Even at 8 am. There were shelves for towels but were empty. No lifeguard on duty and multiple birthday parties going on so there were several unattended children being naughty and nobody to stop bad behavior. The worst thing was at 3 in the afternoon on Saturday (with 2 large birthday parties happening) there was a guy replacing ceiling tiles in the women’s bathroom and had it closed to do that. Good room for a fair price. I didn't get the room I reserved though, and there is no in-room coffee. The water park seemed cool, but didn't have the time. Breakfast was pretty good too.

My recent stay was exceptional! The woman working at the front desk overnight provided one of the kindest interactions I have ever experienced at a hotel front desk. I rarely write a review for anything but she deserves kudos!! I was traveling alone with my son and I felt very safe there. Due to that we also had the best rest in the most comfy beds. 5 stars!!!
