Forty 1° North

My fiancé and I stayed at 41 North for a weekend getaway from New York City and had a great experience. We stayed in the Red Cottage, which was well maintained despite being older, charming, and had everything we needed. We liked having the upstairs for sleeping and the downstairs for relaxing, which made the space feel comfortable and practical. The check in process was very easy, and the team was helpful throughout our stay, making sure we had what we needed and were aware of all the available amenities. We did have a small inconvenience, but I want to give a special shout out to Samantha S. for being proactive and going above and beyond to make sure the issue was addressed and resolved. Her support made a big difference and is a big reason we would come back. The location was great,

This was our second and now annual trip to Newport with family. We once again enjoyed our stay and are enamored with the level of service we received. They were sincere and welcomed us by name when we arrived and during our visit! Hats off and great job to the management for training! Location can't be beat if you enjoy water views! We enjoyed daily lunch, and dinner. Breakfast was also very good although we had only one.

This is my 3rd visit this year and i cannot begin to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay. We were surprised they knew we were celebrating our 8th anniversary! We don't know how they managed that, but it really made us feel special, welcome and a part of their family. So nice to feel so welcome! Our room was luxuriously well-appointed and provided us with a fabulous water view. The restaurant was delicious and fun. We cocktailed every evening at their oval bar followed by dinner in their dining room. The employees are calm and confident, and evident they are well trained. Luxurious, professional and yet casual without the stuffy snob feel that one may experience at many known companies. Bravo!

I definitely had high expectations for this place considering the price and the way it’s advertised. First things first, we were in a road trip coming back down the east coast. I was looking for a place with dining and a bar on site so we didn’t have to leave my dog too long. Well. I booked this place seeing it had EVERYTHING I needed.. and according to everything online… it was all open. Well. Off season, I had to pay 30$ to park in an empty parking lot, ontop of the 600$ room PLUS 250$ for my dog. Once we were in the room, not one trash can had a bag in it, the tile in the shower is sharp around ALL the edges, the robe they offer is as stiff as cardboard, the restaurant and bar were CLOSED. There is no plates/paper towels/forks/knives in the room which wouldn’t have mattered if the grill

What a wonderful weekend! I took my son 18 and daughter 20 to newport for the weekend for some xmas cheer. Forty 1 North was our home base. We stayed in one of the loft apartments which was so cozy. The staff, specifically Samantha and Nick were over the top friendly and helpful! We had a blast can't wait to return this summer!
