Flamingo Inn

Flamingo Inn...great place to stay on South Padre Island. While the hotel is a little bit dated, it has gotten some upgrades since last year. This year we stayed in the family suite and it was perfect for sleeping as well as having a place to wrap the Christmas gifts purchased on black Friday. The extra TV was handy to be able to watch the game while others wanted to watch something else (GO SOONERS!) The hotel is located in the central part of the town only a block and a half from the beach. The brewery is right next door and Liams is right across the street. The rooms may not be fancy like the Hilton, but if I want to stay there I would. I enjoy the staff at the Flamingo as several have been there as long as we have been going there. Tolyah, the manager (I think the spelling is correct)

I did not even get to experience this place. I had gotten a message through booking.com that my credit card info was not correct. when i went to correct the issue i found out my room had already been canceled. I wasn’t supposed to get charged until 3 days before and the stay isn’t until march 14th. I am not able to get in touch with the hotel at all. I do not recommend trying to book here.

We stayed here for our ADULT vacation, it was overall a fine hotel. The only reason I am giving them four stars is because it was just an average hotel, nothing special in comparison to the others around it. It was also very busy, BUT it was affordable and within walking distance of everything we wanted to do. If you are traveling with kids, maybe choose another location as this hotel seemed to be the choice of party-prone college students.

On August 17th I made reservations at this hotel for October 3rd. On September 24th, they said that my card was being declined. When I called my bank, they said that no transactions were made on the card I provided. I called this place multiple times and was told I would get a call back and a day later they cancelled the reservation. I called them back and they said that they never charged the card and cancelled the reservation because they are renovating the rooms. Now I only have 8 days to find a hotel in the area when I had initially booked a room 43 days in advance

What can I say from the time I booked my rooms to when I got there and checked out. It was nice. I had read the passed reviews and thought those aren't recent so I gave them a chance. please if that's keeping you from booking at the flamingo inn give them that chance because it wasn't bad at all. Close to the beach, housekeeping was awesome and the front desk was super friendly The young man was especially nice. Now the pool had people in and out and the pool wasn't really clean I wish that people would not be so dirty because let's be honest we the people are the ones who make it dirty. Cuz it ain't the employees jumping in the pool . My rooms were right next to each other I had taken a weekend trip with my sons and grandkids. Thank you flamingo inn my family and I had a great stay
