Fawndale Oaks RV Park

Very nice and accommodating owners. Arrived after hours and was greeted promptly. Very happy with our overnight stay in transit between SoCal and Washington. Will stay here again. Antique train locomotive and fire trucks - cool to see. Shady with full hookups. Good WiFi. Cable TV. Reasonable rates.

THE PARK. Fawndale Oaks RV Park is a lovely country park, up against mountains to the south and east, nestled in a valley of gorgeous trees at the end of Fawndale Road. If you want to be removed from the hustle and bustle of the city, yet not too far removed, this is the park for you—residing about 10 miles north of Redding off the 5 Freeway. Adding to the feel of country are deer, wild turkeys, foxes, peacocks and pea hens, owls, other birds, and more. Today I saw a herd of wild turkeys coming into the park to munch on leaves and such and a lovely young buck meandering down a park road. The other day looking out a window in my trailer, I delighted in watching 2 does, each with 2 fawns, and a buck quietly passing the evening as they munched on a meal of greens. The little cabin is pretty well weathered. But it is sufficient for an overnight stay. There's no bathroom in it, you have to walk down the hill to use the restrooms for the rest of the RV park. But those restrooms are clean enough. If you don't mind the occasional frog, mosquito hawk, and spider. It's a nice quaint little space and the swimming pool was refreshing.

Super kind and accommodating owners, worked with my engine crew late at night. Provided excellent service. Quaint, safe spot off the freeway.

Shannon and Cary are really salt of the earth kind of people. You can tell they are doing what they love and it shows in how they conduct their business. I appreciate the kindness and warmth they've shown me throughout the duration of my stay. I am here on a monthly rental. The only reason I would leave is if work or life/school takes me further away from the area. Many spots are very shaded and there are beautiful older oak trees here. I drive an older rig so I have had a great deal of difficulty finding places that would consider my unit since itd 25yo, which is not perfect but also not an eyesore. They do have a 10 model year or newer clause for monthly spaces, but are willing to examine on a case by case basis if they are comfortable accepting a unit. My favorite thing about this park
