Faraway Nantucket

We were scheduled for a late 8pm ferry home and the ferry got canceled at 6pm which was completely out of the blue and unusual. It was a holiday weekend and we were looking for a last-minute hotel. The service was spectacular. They accommodated us above and beyond our expectations. The staff was very kind and very generous. They offered us a complementary drink. Our accommodations is everything we could’ve hoped for and more. Very clean. Atmosphere is amazing. Location is perfect. We can’t wait to come back for a planned visit lol!!!

The hotel and the grounds are charming and very clean, great location too. The room is extremely small. We did book two larger rooms, with a table and two chairs and wardrobe shown in the photo. Our rom is not that at all. I did ask at the front desk the same night we got in but they told me we got a standard room and the photos are just models. Tiny closet and bathroom with no counter space at all and one hook. The shower head is not adjustable. Definitely not what I expected for the price we paid. The staff is nice but don’t go out of their way. This is our first time on the island and it would be great to get some general information or recommendations. Again, not a welcome you expect at a luxury hotel.

As far as a quiet night far from it, its old and noisy you can hear the guess in the rooms, but very convenient to restaurants and shopping, if you bring a car during busy season, you will have difficulty parking. rooms were adequate and perfect for a quick getaway providing you have a bathroom in the room. The service was very professional and quick to respond to help.

The Faraway Nantucket is absolutely stunning. The property is beautiful, and our room was perfection; stylish, spotless, and so comfortable. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome throughout our stay. The location could not be better. It’s right in town, walkable to everything, and just steps from the best shops and restaurants on the island. Could not recommend this hotel enough. We will absolutely be back and will be sending friends and family here, too.

Our room was small and laid out in a way that made it difficult to move around, making it generally uncomfortable. The bar and restaurant were both very good, but the policy of the hotel to provide free coffee and tea in the mornings while charging for doughnuts was nickel-and-dimish, especially given the very expensive room rate. The hotel offered free bicycles, which was one factor in our choosing Faraway, but the bicycles were in poor shape (the one I selected the first day had the chain off the sprocket and was a no gear shift, single speed bike.
