Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Nashville Smyrna

Positive: The desk staff was very nice and breakfast was good. Negative: The room was very dirty! There was drips of dried blood on the bathroom wall and we saw a roach. The a/c was not working correctly. We will never stay there again and question Marriott in general!

The check in clerk was kind and did a very good job. However when I called to report my issues with the room she said she could not do anything but maybe the manager would reimburse some of my points . That did not happen. Filth room… molding bathroom… dirty stains all over the carpet… no globe on light just a light bulb hanging… bugs smashed on ceiling and live one crawling on the walls. Water damage everywhere…. No stoppers on sink or tub…. Ac did not work. And breakfast looked as though it was 3 days old! The place is a health hazard. Do not stay there.

We stayed at this property during the January Ice storm. The staff was amazing! It appeared they were short staffed due to the weather. They were very busy due to the power outages all over Nashville. You would see an employee at the front desk and then the same person cleaning rooms! They jumped in and helped wherever it was needed. I needed extra items and it would be delivered immediately with a smile! The breakfast was very good which is unusual for a hotel breakfast. Very impressive staff! Fairfield/Marriott I hope you appreciate the staff at the Fairfield Inn and Suites Smyrna!

NOPE, NOPE, NOPE! This will be a long review, but if you're smart and DO NOT like NASTY SURPRISES...PLEASE READ the whole thing! While the desk clerk on Halloween evening when we checked in (1 SUPER FRAZZLED grandmother, 1 14-year-old teen girl and 1 11-year old boy) was really nice, the rest of the stay was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING! Parking lot should have been the first clue that we were in trouble. Tiny with only 1 way in and out, no pull through. No covered check in area... barely big enough for one car. Had we not been running 3 hours late and completely exhausted...1 would have gladly forfeited the discounted State Employee rate of "$128.00"($70.00 would have been a lot for the quality) and RAN ANYWHERE ELSE!!!. This is a old hotel. Front desk staff and breakfast attendant was awesome. Water stains on ceiling in my room.Phone in my room would not call front desk.Don’t know if an ice maker is on every floor. I gave up looking and again the the phone in room didn’t call front desk. GPS was helping in finding the exact location because I could see the hotel but getting to it would have been a problem without my GPS. The hotel is in walking distance of Cinco De Mayo Restaurant which was very close .Curtain was disconnected from curtain rod.
