Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Lynchburg Liberty University

Stayed here three nights and paid $1000 — absolutely not worth it. For 2 out of 3 mornings, there was no hot breakfast, just a sign saying it wasn’t available. On day two we asked for our room to be cleaned, only to be told they only clean on the third day of your stay. The dining room ceiling was leaking water on two of the three days we were there, which made breakfast even more unpleasant. And on the last day, only one of the two elevators was working, causing long waits just to get to our room. For the cost, the experience was extremely disappointing. We will not be returning.

I specifically chose this hotel because it’s right on campus—and our room actually overlooked LU! 😍 It was such a special touch. Waking up to that view made our stay feel extra meaningful. I’m seriously hoping when we return in October, we can get a top-floor room so we can soak in even more of that incredible campus. ❤️||I have to give a huge thank you to the evening staff—especially the young woman working while we were there. We have stayed at quite a few Fairfield Inns and this was one of the best. The room seemed like it had been recently renovated and everything was clean and nice. The breakfast was a rather normal Fairfield Inn lay out and was good, as usual. The check-in and check-out ladies were friendly and nice. We had instant hot water and we liked the computer desk and the style of stoppers in the bathroom wash bowl.

Craig was amazing for accommodating us (as we arrived at odd hours) & selling us the last room for the night! We are very grateful to have a place to lay our heads & thank you for the kindness & generosity that you showed us on 9/19-9/20 at 4 am! The woman in the morning was also very sweet and helpful, I wish I got her name. Loved relaxing in the patio area outside & hanging out by the pool! I have worked in hotels/hospitality, & your staff this weekend was exceptional!!!

Positive: Location. Negative: The hotel door was able to be opened without a key. Took a video to show the front desk. The hotel lacks any security or oversight. People come and go.
