Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Hickory

Property is clean and nice, same for the room, comfy bed — no complaints for the accommodations. Breakfast is also nice. Staff were kind and welcoming. We did have the misfortune of being there the same weekend as a young girls school sports team. This isn’t a problem on the hotel—more of my own personal lesson to ask if there are any large groups (especially of kids) attending when booking a reservation.

Positive: Clean! Nice and helpful staff! Great breakfast! Negative: The pool was closed and that was the main reason we booked this hotel. But everything else was so nice and good it kinda made up for the broken pool.

We've stayed here several times for varying lengths of stay. The staff members at all levels are very welcoming. The room is always clean and tidy with no overwhelming scent. Love the walk-in showers. Breakfast is always fresh and tasty. There's plenty of places to sit to eat, read, converse. Place is very easy to find and there's not much street noise. I feel safe and comfortable here.

I stay here about once a month, and the nice lady Okimah at the front desk has by far been the best. The older gentleman who works the front desk on the weekends is absolutely amazing as well. The hospitality and customer service here are truly top-tier. I gave 4 stars only because an additional $150 was charged to my card due to washable hair spray and makeup on the sheets and pillows. I reached out multiple times requesting a call from the GM to discuss this, but unfortunately, I never received a response. That money she took was needed for the remainder of my stay in NC and was all I had left at the time. Aside from that situation, and the GM not caring to call me back everyone here has always been wonderful, and I’ve consistently had great experiences.

This Hotel is very good. Also personnel were courteous and friendly. We were here for a Hickory convention Revival and the proximity for it was spot on. Rooms are good and breakfast was delicious and great. Thank you Tabitha for help me out with the emergency Hotel reservation…It was worth it! 👍 I recommend it this Hotel. 4.5/5.
